Pastiche /pæˈstiːʃ/

f. Work of art resulting from the combination of materials of different nature.

Pastiche means the creation of a new expressive language from the combination of different materials and processes, the outcome of a process of experimentation that pursues an aesthetic result. Pieces that alone would function as works of art, and which together multiply their strength, creating a sample of textures, processes and light effects.
